This Privacy Policy explains how Guardian OÜ ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, retains, and protects personal data when consumers, businesses, and care organisations use our websites, Guardian applications, physical GPS trackers, and related services. We are committed to safeguarding privacy in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We may collect and process: account and contact details such as name, email address, phone number, language, organisation, and delivery address; authentication, consent, contract, support, and account-status records; Guardian GPS identifiers and telemetry including location, timestamps, safe zones, SOS and call events, battery, signal, and configuration state; emergency-contact names and phone numbers supplied by the account holder; payment, order, delivery, and invoicing information handled with our payment providers; push-notification tokens; and technical data such as IP address, app version, browser, device, diagnostic, cookie, and analytics information.
We use data to create and secure accounts; sell, deliver, provision, and support Guardian hardware; display tracker location and status; process safe-zone, SOS, call, and device events; notify authorised contacts; operate and improve the service; prevent abuse and investigate failures; fulfil contracts, payments, support, and invoicing obligations; and comply with legal requirements. We do not sell personal GPS data.
We use access controls, encryption, logging, and other industry-standard measures to protect personal data. Authorised Guardian personnel and service providers receive only the access needed for their duties. Providers may include Firebase/Google for authentication and notifications, Stripe and other payment providers for checkout, analytics providers where consented, communications providers, and cloud hosting and infrastructure partners. They process data under appropriate contractual and privacy safeguards. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
We retain personal data only while it is needed to provide the service and for the purposes described above. Guardian GPS customers can initiate full account deletion inside the app. Account access, active sessions, and push registrations are removed immediately; the remaining account and personal GPS data are scheduled for permanent deletion within 7 days. Deleting an account does not cancel or refund a physical-device order. We may retain limited transaction, invoice, fraud-prevention, safety, or legal-claim records for the applicable statutory period when required by law, after which they are deleted or anonymised. We confirm completion using the available customer contact details.
Depending on the applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; and lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon).
